Creek Agency 27th Oct 1819 My Friends, I have received your letter by Colonel Lovett, and am glad you agree with me in opinion that the Nation must buy the factory. I shall comply with your request and only wait to hear from Major Hughes, who I am sure will give you every opportunity of getting the property upon fair and equitable terms. Col. Lovett will explain my opinion to you more fully. Complaints are constantly made against those people who keep the unclear at Chatahochee of inattention and carelessness by which travellers are often improperly detained. I have informed Col. Lovett my determination on the subject, by which all complaint will be removed & the Indians who are to receive the money can have it every week or at any other times they please. Col. Lovett will explain this matter to you and as soon as I hear from you or him I will send instructions to the assistant agent. Your friend D.B.Mitchell unclear unclear Augustus Yoholo unclear
