The act compromising the Yazoo claim makes the Yazoo stock receivable in payment for lands sold after the stock issues. As the stock has been issued now about twelve months all payments for lands sold during the last twelve months have been made in it to the injury of the State of Georgia. Thus the Yazoo claimants are to be satisfied years before the state, altho the convention in placing in the hands of Congress the means of compromising the claim expressly prohibited the interference with the payment to the State.
