My Dear Alice -

We arrived here this P.M. When Capt Lebo's command joined us - I did expect to stop over at this point one day - but find that I will have farther to travel Northwestward than contemplated - is rather that this objective point is farther off than I had calculated it to be so I have concluded to move on to-morrow. Capt Lebo's Command (Company) will move through the Guadalupe Mountains & rejoin the main command on the 20th inst.
