Lieuts Ward & unclear name - Grierson? Grinsom? came up in Ward's buggy - they having been sent on ahead with picks shovels etc. for use of the detachment sent last night by Capt Keyes to work on the crossing of the River. Charlie came on to where we are encamped & we invited him to stop for dinner - We had a good dinner - and he (Charlie) & all of us did the meal full justice. Capt Keyes arrived with his Company about 2.P.M. all O.K. & was soon thereafter encamped with is Company. Upon our arrival
