Harrisburg Aug. 14th1876 Dear A. I wrote the enclosed note last evening but could not obtain an envelop. It has rained a great deal of late in this section of the Country. and all day yesterday it poured down. and the country being so low and flat - so near the Gulf - it is flooded with water. The sun is shining this morning and the day will be hot and sultry. The train leaves at 8.30. Will write to you from San Antonio and will probably address this letter to you at Chicago. If you have left presume that Thomas will know where to forward the same. You had best have some understanding
