My dear friend,

I was very dissapointed to-Day in receiving your letter. I thought I could know something Definite, as the time is getting very short. I am out a great deal, looking for work, trying to sell my furniture, and to find a place for me to go. I can't look after the boy, I have to leave him in somebody else's care and pay extra, something that I can't afford to do. As I said I have already an engagement to do some sewing out and will have to put the boy in care of a lady
