 It is such a rare thing for me to have a letter from you that I must answer without delay.

Ellen Jones, Morris Roberts' daughter, is to be buried today. I have therefore no school. I thought once of going down to Utica today, but since reading your letter decided to wait till Saturday, when I hope to meet you there if you are able to do so. Father was very anxious that as much as could be should be done by private sales before the public sale. Thomas has therefore disposed of some things and will of more if he has an opportunity. I hope your head is better by this time. What did Dr say about your leaving so unceremoniously. Do you think your visit home did you harm? Elizabeth wishes to know whether you are not going to make them that visit. Mr. Ricker expects to go that way during the season and perhaps you might go with him and I would go after you. What would you think of that? 

Eddie does much better this term than last. He is getting along very well. Lizzie says all the men she has to unclear is unclear
