The girls have just come and brought your good long letters- so adieu to writing while I read them.

I was too much wearied to write any more last night, and now I am afraid that this cannot go with the one Sarah has been writing. Richard Jones is here working and he is just going down to John D's for our gate- so Sarah will send by him lest some untoward event should prevent our sending at all today. Yesterday I was very, very busy all day at my case but today now a little after 3 P.M. I have the cover matter all up except about half a stick, and I have no copy for that till pa gets up. He is resting now. Jane is here this afternoon helping with the folding- our church meetings to be tonight. We hope those who have stayed away daytimes so long will be able to come and will come when we have evening meetings. The moon does not rise till after nine.

in margin: to B. Saturday. She is expected home again next Tuesday and we are invited, some of us to go up and stay all night.
