Dear Anna,

I wrote again to Mrs. D yesterday and last night I got a letter with the notice for the cover. Lewis told me last night that they were to get the number out today- so I went over there early this morning- Lewis was in the office looking for something to fill a little space on the cover, so that of Dewi Evelyn could be put in that of Mr. Edwards will also be left this time only changing 240 to 300.
I drove on to see Mr. Hughes who was going today to the Quarterly meeting and asked him to say something about the Cofiant to the ministers and if they thought best pass some resolution in regard to it.
In coming home I stopped at

in margin: to eat and some pennies. What are we to do about haying? How are you all. No oranges yet! Very warm ther. 78° in the cellar - 80° in shade about 3 p.m. Hope we shall have a letter tonight - I gave that to M. H. this a.m. Who is coming home with you? Love to all - Jennie
