I had an idea that, that Indian was lieing to me about their dance today, so I went to their village, and went in the first house I came to and inquired for the Governor I asked the Indian in the house if he would sit for me he said I would have to have the consent of the Governor first He said the Governor and his staff were holding a meeting so I went there and there were five of them in a square place built of logs and a fire in the center they all stood up as I came and asked what I wanted there I said I wanted to see the Governor on big fellow says I am he, they all were wrapped in blankets I told soon what I wanted, so he asked me to go to a house with him which I did and the Indians unclear in there I showed them my pictures finally one fellow who wouldn't look at them spoke up and says in good English We have seen enough of your pictures
