there is a good Army here but it is small the Govt seam to think that General Grant can conquer this country with few Soldiers I think myself he can do it with as few men as any other General but think he should be supplied with more of the New Regiments that are being raised in the Western States. Is Sister Abby well I owe her a letter and shall write soon but must write to Sister Fannie and Brother William tonight.
