Camp Defiance June 9th Brother John as [Kelp?] is going to start home this evening I will pen a few lines to you we are all well at present we have got moved in our new quarters we have a very fine place now. John you had better believe we have warm weather here. we have not drilled now for a week but it was not on account of warm weather it was because we had work to do we took turn about working on the Barracks ten worked one day and then ten the next and so on till we got them done I only had to work one day last week. we had yesterday what is called a review drill that is all the regiments were out so as to see which was the best drilled regiment
