little advice, You have your duties to preform as a patriotic citizen, and I as a Soldier, you can vote, and I do not expect to be able to. Now a part of your duty is to elect responsable men to responsable offices, men that have been tried, and found equal to the emergency. And to do this, let me say to you, go in heart, and hand, with your vote and influence to elect Abraham Lincoln for the next President, give him a chance to be president while the Country is at peace, and see if he will do as well as through times of trouble. I have no doubt but what you endorse the administration fully, but if not take a deep thought on the matter before you use you influence otherwise If the Army could vote, nine tenth of it would go for old Abe, for they have enlisted to fight for their Country, and are determined to uphold the administration.
