It becomes irksome to be patient, to swelter, and toil endless hours without proper food, it is one of each day's problems how shall we find our sick and what shall we have ourselves if only some honest fearless Daniel would arise and speak to our chief and people at Washington, I do not think it would take long untill some cheering transport would come with white wings to our aid. Now we groan and yearn for some of the crumbs which fall from the nation's tables but we have to groan again and again in the face of the blazing sun and die for the small need which might sustain life.
