home I know that I am indeed in a far distant clime. The Eastern portion of Cuba is much farther off than Havana would be from home. The distance from New York to Santiago is vastly greater than from N.Y. to Liverpool where I know that, I not only feel that I have gone to Europe but beyond into a farther region.
