As an opportunity offered I take great pleasure in penning you a few lines in accordance with your wishes. You will very readily discover, that the "Goddess" is so poor that we have no letter paper on board. Therefore necessity in a rainy morning requires me to use the best we have.

As I have nothing in particular to write further, that will entertain you & time being somewhat precious, I will close, by sending my best love to you all & plenty of kisses to last you and our little darling until I return. Myself & Egbert are well and flying about as usual.

From Your Sincere & Affectonate Husband
