June 11. Sunday Too[underlined] Dear Johnny, I have waitted untill I could tell you I was coming, so we start tomorrow, nothing preventing, in the meantime, I cannot tell how long I shall stay in Pittsburg, we may go on so or to reach Chicago by Satuday or eve may wait ten days. Sam Dook, who has lately returned from California, is going to Chicago in a few days, and for the sake of company I may go a little sooner & visit Romaine on my return, he is now in Pittsburg, and I shall be better after to decide when I get there, if I do not go with him, you must pay him some attention he seems a clever, steady fellow. I was very greatly disappointed at Frank's not coming home, it seems from his last letter he wrote to us explaining his situation &cetc?, but we never received it so when we received a letter telling us he had already told us why he did not come, and asking Me & Sis to visit him
