I'm afraid Annie will not keep to her promise of going to Chicago in the Spring. They will begin to build as soon as the weather will allow, and she will think she is too busy to leave home. Rose is a darling, so funny and old-fashioned, and so good. She does not talk much. You would be surprised to see how Nannie's baby has improved, it is right pretty now. Nan thinks we are all partial to Rose, which she does not like at all. I see Miss? Paige's concert in Pittsburgh was quite a success, I hope she will please the Chicago people as well. We are getting ready for a concert here, for the Christian commission, but do not expect it will be anything extraordinary. Much love to all[underlined], big and little, Yours aff, Jane
