It may be regarded as making no difference what we have done. 3. It may be asked flippantly. 4. It may be asked seriously. In the latter case it may be answered by the Christian backslider as follows: 1. I have done nothing. 2. I have neglected X 3. I have grieved the Holy Spirit. 4. I have been a Stone of unclear It may be answered by the Sinner. 1.
