She gave up the idea of stopping in Laporte now, but thought she should on his return - She went in company with Mrs Willis of Winchester and could'nt stop with out losing his company - 'Twas'nt the Willis that once kept the Union store - Twas Emerson Symon's wife's father - And a stranger to her - But she thought she would rather have some company - You have probably heard of Gardiner Gale's death It was very sad indeed. We received a letter from Iscar, a short time ago saying Aunt Wright was very low and thought very doubtful if she ever receovered. Roxana is with her - We are all about as usual and that is feeble - I have thought she was better for a few days past - but she has her poorturns and then she is better a few days perhaps.
