May 27th, [1916] My Dear Jacobs,

John Leewing? Jr. will be examined for practice of law in Colorado at the next session He is a Chicago boy who goes to Denver & will be connected with a good firm. His father is about the closest friend I have & a grand fellow. He has been unclear here & I know is thoroughly grateful. He has no fear except in unclear law which is not used here; he is unclear up in these of unclear he is all unclear. I don't want to be in contempt of your "Honorable" body, but if you would have a "stiff" "Exam" on those unclear I might ask him to wait until the next time. I heard you are to be at home this summer as I expect to spend much of it not there. Unclear in us for taking unclear in unclear cash. We unclear if they take them they are unclear. Truthfully?
