Dear Son
Having a sincere wish to hear from all my children I address a few lines to you wishing you would not neglect to answer it as soon as received. My health has improved and is still improving my friends want I should stay untill Sept. I think it is doubtful about my staying for there has been several cases of smallpox, as I never was vaccinated for the kine? pose I think I shall be the coming week. I have found many very pleasant friends in this place and those that move in the first circle in society. I am going down to Mary Dyers Tuesday at the lower end of the town think of spending the week among my friends their. Remember me to your Grandfather tell him I have been to see Aunt Elizabeth found her comfortable and all the rest of his friends well excepting Susan Convert she is most gone with consumption. I spent the day with her yesterday, the Universalist have built them a new meeting house and sold their old one to the Methodist which are repairing it and hired another --- Methodist preacher so that they have two methodist societies. I think they have a good speaker in this orthodox house you hear a great stir about meetings in this place. Give my love to all my children and all my friends if any I have who
