La Fayette May 22d 1854 Brother Nathan

   Dear Sir Enclosed find Your Bill you spoke of You can Pay it at Your convenience When Fowler & Earl fetch in their Bill I shall pay it Uncle Atkins lives at Kingsbury LaPorte @ about 20 mile north west from Plymouth. I feel sorry that Your Health and Your Wife's is so poor. My own Health I think is poorer than it Ever Has  been I find I cannot Stand 1/2 of the labour I could last Year. I am oblige to Keep to hands to do my work & that will not pay me. If I could manage to Keep my debts of me untill I could Build a house & make a turn think I would go on to my land Sarah send her love to Josephine.
