possible for me to act as book keeper for I should be obliged to have constant confinement some 10 hours in the day & I know I could not endure it a week. I am not confined here over 3 hours a day & walk a great deal & yet sometimes I feel as if I cannot possibly endure it. The only thing that I know of that I can do is to act as traveling agent for some Wholesale house but this will take me away from my family all the time & I assure you it is not a very pleasant thought to me. I feel as if I must have you & the children with me. I presume you do not fully appreciate my feelings upon this subject as you are never away from the children & of course do not miss me as you would if they were not with you.
