Hudson June 14th 1880 Dear Sister Abby Your last good letter is yet unanswered. I will try and delay no longer - I was very glad to hear from you, We shall not soon forget that we ought to have seen each other & had a good visit but having no joy at greeting we had no grief in parting - Nevertheless, I had grief and regret that it all happened as it did and feel I have lost much pleasure But I was in such a poor state of health I could not have been very cheerful - Still it would have been so nice to have seen you even for a day - I will hope to see you before winter if well enough.
