Dear Sister Abby I will say a few words to you and hope you will excuse my not writing a long letter this time for I wish to go to a meeting tonight at the Tremont Temple - I was very glad to hear from you and your letter was certainly a good one and such as one as I would like to often receive - It seems to me that there is more mind and soul in your letters of late than formerly and you always wrote very good letters - Perhaps the thought of leaving your friends this Spring may have occasioned serious thought and thus your expressions speak of thought & reflections But undoubtedly you will triumph over grief at parting for you are then nearer to your Dearest friend while leaving other dear friends behind - I see no reason then why to you Dear Sister the future may not seem unclouded & brilliant with the never fading light of a Star in the West Good may that star exist to light your pathway with a radiant glow of sunny smiles and with a reflection from your own bright eye may each returning smile give luster to his own. To have & to know we have a true friend whose constant and undeviating affection tells with truth love is reciprocated and therefore natural, is one of the highest order of Satisfactions
