Dear Brother Nathan, We have been anxiously waiting to have a word from you in regard to your journey home and the health of you all since your arrival there. We have thought of you all a great deal and wondered if you were well and getting nicely settled. We hope this is the case. Thursday, the day you started west, the weather changed to cold and has been so since; some days very cold and we have quite a quantity of snow on the ground; sleighs have been running several days. The papers give us accounts of severe cold at St. Louis and Chicago. I hope you have not any of you suffered from it in the way of sickness but I know it
you as soon as
possible.
Affectionately
Sister Sarah
