I can spare - I left in Holdens hands funds sufficient to more than pay all my bills there - and they were good - I wish you would get the papers and see that they are collected immediately and my bills paid there - Yet it is doubtful when I can get anything that I can spare from here -Within a month I have had to pay over $100 to Sarah & George - I had $20 the other day that I was going to send to Sarah, but Mr. West present me an order for 20 dollars from George and I had to cash it and so she is out of it - Since I began to do business for myself I never was dunned and diven so much for money as I have been for the last 2 months - I have over $1200 due, and cannot get enough to support my family, but have to run in debt - I am owing about half as much and even now is in a great straight just at this moment for what I owe him - I want you should see what has been done with what I left with Holden, and take it and settle it and I will pay you for your trouble; My wife is not able to do anything; not even to oversee the house and I don't believe she ever will be - in fact I am just about discouraged trying to do anything - My health is good - never was better in the world - Little Sarah is tough and hearty - Miss W. is not half as strong and smart this winter as she was last - her cough troubles her much - very much - I want you should let me know whether the money & note that I sent you have arrived before I send any more to anybody there - I had a letter from Lydia, the other day - She said that she was coming to me in Feb - I have 20 dolls in Collection money that I got a day or two since which I will send to her if you say so & I can get it to her before she starts it will go to her quicker and safer there to you - if so write me, telling where to send it & to her telling her where to look for it - I commenced this more than a week ago as you will see by date, but have not had time to finish it till now.
