I would rather you would go till you are 18 rather than 21 for I want you to go to school some after that to some good Academy. You will of course go to school in winter while you are with him. If you cannot get in there or some other good place of the kind you must let yourself to some good farmer for the next year. I hope you will get in with Mr. Kendall of Westminister. You had better attend to it immediately. But whether you go there or elsewhere remember that, you are farming your character for life, that your character is what you have to depend upon for success when you come to mix in the busy scenes of the world.
