Petersham June 20th

Ever dear Brother I now seat myself for the purpose of answering your kind epistle of May 30th perhaps you may think strange that I have not done so before but my time has been so much taken up with my school that I could not. Last week went home and spent the sabbath found the people all well with the exception of Edwin but he is better. Mother gets along very well and enjoys her-self. Grand-father has been gone till yesterday he returned do not know what he is a going to do. C. Baldwin and Mary Powers are married also James Smith and Eunis Haven. Father and Marshall have been moved. Cousin Rebecca has been disappointed about her school she has but 6 weeks she feels rather bad about it, and now I will try and give you a short sketch of my school. I have had 35 schollars for studies I have Arithmetic B classes in Adams the first class with the exception of Mercy have got to the unclear page they have done most of the sums on the board from the commencement
