Dear Jack: I hope this brief note may reach you before you leave for Paris, but it doesn't have much chance. I did want to wish you and Gladys a pleasant journey. Illness and over-work have prevented my writing sooner.

It hasn't been lack of appreciation that has delayed my thanks for the volume from the English Poets series. I have owned them all at one time or the other except that rare 2nd volume which I have particularly wanted because it contained the Cavalier poets whose work is hard to find. I guess the fact that the Earl of Rochester is one of the poets in the volume has made people hang on to it more. There are five volumes in the series instead of four. Many thanks for sending the book.
When you are in Ireland, I hope you will make some inquiries
