in pencil Yoken, Mel 261 Carroll Street New Bedford, Mass. 02740 4 Dec. 82 Dear Jack: Hard to believe that the year is fast waning. Where of where do the months disappear to? The final countdown will soon begin for 1984, that year which Orwell described as the symbol of an anti-utopian future. Enough has happened in our own time and country to make it disturbingly easy to comprehend and believe in Orwell's society, n'est-ce pas!! We (Cindy and I) hope that you are well and in good spirits. We are surviving, and that's what counts. Our three young sons are a handful plus and keep us excruciatingly busy - as you well can imagine! I do hope that we will all meet one day soon.

 Most cordially, Mel
