My dear Mr. Conroy:
I have been enjoying your literary production over the past few years; therefore, I finally decided to sit down - in the blissfulness and tranquility of an early Thursday morning - to write you this. I am a French professor at the above named University and am particularly fond of your earliest work, e.g. A WORLD TO WIN and THE DISINHERITED. I want to thank you and congratulate you most heartily for your impressive literary achievements which have truly and justly won you many readers from all over.
At this time, I would like to address you several questions sincerely hoping you will take time from your present
schedule to answer them. I really hope you'll indulge this request from a most underline interested, /underline enthusiastic reader of yours.
Mr. Conroy, what are your present activities, literary and others? Who has influenced you the most in your fructuous literary career? May I also ask you... which of your works is your personal favorite (or the one you consider your best)?
