 I don't wonder that Jack seemed to recognize the name Cal Fisk. That man was the boss

but he was a thorn in our side. He took particular delight in trying to put down anyone who knew more than he did - and he was especially nasty to Jack - who, with his good humor, just let it slide. It was us against Cal in the whole department - but we survived.
