My Dear Sister,
We were quite disappointed in not receiving a word from some of you tonight to know how our dear sister has been today but I know your time is limited as well as mine. It is after 12 P.M. and the rest of the family are in sweet repose but I must write you tonight as I do not have time in the mornings except for a hasty card. Our girl is not coming back and we must look up another one. Carroll and I do what work is done about the house (except the care of little Robert) as Mate is not strong enough to do much out of her room. She was feeling quite poorly this morning as the room got a little to cool during last night
