new address arrow to address 463 West Street (Apt. G-113) New York, N.Y. 10014 Jan. 6, 1975 - Monday A.M. Dear Jack -

First, let me wish Gladys and you and your family a year of fulfillment and blessings.
Forgive this tardy letter. I'd moved (to above address) unexpectedly, late in May 1974. Where I am now, used to be the old 'phone bdg. - converted about 10 years ago (by a man with a dream) into studios for ptrs., scultptors, composers, writers, etc. When he died, evidently the dream was tarnished somewhat by the real estate management that took over. But "Westbeth" (as the bldg. that takes up a underlined: whole block is called) is still better than most N.Y. places. I thought I'd written you the above new address; evidently, I didn't - and your card was forwarded here.
I'd been on the waiting list here for ages it seems - when suddenly they phoned, saying a studio for one had become available, so I rushed over, and, of course, at once took it.
My phone is the same - underlined: 255=1192, should you come to N.Y. My yearly visitor - pleurisy - better now - Kept me from writing sooner.
