     It did my sinquegenarian heart good to receive your admirable anthology with its lavish 'hand-written' inscription. - Now if you could only tell me where I could pick up the Great American Novel!  One of my favorite incidents out of the Yaddo fortnight is that which concerns 'the young' speaking of the GAN as something yet unrealized, & your speaking up with ? & manly dignity to say, "Why, I published that back in '28."
    That was a wonderful company at Yaddo this summer!  A great relief after the academic world.
