June 6, 1954 Dear Jack -

     After three arduous months I have finally succeeded in "digging out" far enough to avoid feeling shame as I take a few moments for correspondence.  I guess I'll never amount to much, for I have such an overdeveloped conscience about my fancied duties as wife and mother that my personal interests
