     Thanks for sending me the copy of Chicago Public Library Book Bulletin.  I read with much interest the little biographical sketch - and it brought back memories of underlined:  The Anvil and underlined:  The New Anvil which you worked so hard to keep going =  The fine selections of material you printed.  You were an effective Crusader and I imagine a big help to many younger writers.  And I recall the enthusiasm with which I read underlined :  The Disinherited and reviewed it for the underlined:  Topeka Daily Capital.
    A lot has happened since those days and I guess we both have seen a lot and learned a good deal -- and while still Crusaders at heart it is quite surprising to me to see the fascist drift of our country - the failure of all
