6th Aug. Dear Conroy,

   I hope you will not be returning to the States at the end of August.  Unfortunately my plans have had to be changed, and I cannot now get to England before about September 18th.  My wife and I are then collecting a motor caravan and expect to leave for the continent soon afterwards.  At present we are back here for about five weeks.  Will there be any chance of seeing you in September?  Your letter has been following me about, with delays due to the postal strike, and has only just reached me.
