6) will learn some manners! He says he did greatly appreciate getting your books and read all the poetry and a bit else but "I didn't answer the letter." By golly, he will!... do you believe in telepathy? I had a friend put a notice under the door that he uses as a mailing address - he sleeps where he can, & since he's volunteering at this agency that will be funded in July, part of his work is in the kitchen & he's getting fed. His coat is warm & presentable but he walks everywhere, & his gloves had no fingers. Fortunately I buy men's wear when I can - much cheaper than women's - so had a pair of leather gloves that he managed to get his large bony fingers into... He's made gigantic strides forward, and though he's into painting now rather than poetry - the drawings & water colors are quite good - he's still basically a poet. Perhaps he'll turn into a sort of modern Walt Whitman. How he savors life! If he can only mature enough between now & July, he'd be quite good in this job. He has much love to give, & he gives unstintingly.

Sorry I'm not strong enough yet to sit at the typewriter. Hope you can read the scribbling.
Many many thanks, Jack dear. Love to you & Gladys
