4916 N. Magnolia Chicago ILL 60640 2-4-74 Dear Jack,
I'd have answered your so-welcome letter sooner but again have been battling flu, two months now! Resistance is low, working too
much non-stop on my book. But I did get letters off to Mendel and Amanda (it was thoughtful of you to include her address) and just received a most beautiful answer from Meridel. Yes, what a remarkable woman she is! Also, the leaflet about the bookstore party. Her words on it, as well as the drawing of her, moved me deeply. She too is doing a book on her struggles as a woman. She expects to see you and the Rowlands this month.
One of the flyers you gave me was responsible for my branch library ordering a bound copy of the anthology, and know that two other

Henry Black, whom I met at Commonwealth College, a librarian and a political writer, has stood by me thru the years and just send me another

I know Margaret Burroughs well (met Gwen Brooks at one of her parties) and went several times to the Museum location, then an art center.
I've heard much about the Museum but, for the time being, will hoard my energy for writing, too weary to get to Bunni's studio - he has an exhibit in March in the art room of the downtown library and I do want, if possible, to see his pieces before they get carted to the Loop. He was very pleased
