the people of Chicago five golden opportunities to become more cultured. God bless the University of Chicago.

We are getting cultured down here, too, as you will see by the clipping. But down here we haven't any "university background." Jutting chins and plain talk. Emily and I attended as "friends of the library." The meeting was really interesting and, if crossed out: Erie "Ernie" Frankel had been obliging enough to sit on his hands, easily worth $5.00 a ticket. Those hands were worse than the detraction of television. (The only television I see are the Friday night fights. And I missed the one last Friday night in my attempt to become more cultured through the panel discussion. I missed seeing one of those dancing cuties (Frankie Ryff) felled by a spaghetti-eating toughie (Paolo Rossi) ).
    This is getting complicated.
The library is pushing the children's department. Since the library is really remarkable for its size, (I haven't been out of good reading in six years), and since there are so many retiring here from the midwest, possibly your "Child Horizons Standard Quarterly Review" might be put on their free list. The retired folks might recommend it to their children's families back home.
Your children's books and "They Seek a City" are on shelves down here.
