Dear Mr. Conroy --

    My apologies for not having written sooner:  The past year was not a particularly good one for us.  Hofstra has turned  out to be a dreadful place to work -- the moral majority must have a home there -- & I've been forced to spend all too much time fighting the necessary fights -- 
    In any case.  I hope you wren't too disappointed in the underlined:  Reader.  I hope, too, that things go reasonably well for you.  The times they underlined: are achanging, but not the right way, I fear.  Here's hoping.
