Dear Jack and Gladys:

Because of ill health Louis Ewing retires as president at the end of the year. His son Peter will succeed him in the title, while his father will stay on as a consultant. The young man is the middle son, a Viet Nam veteran and a nice guy.
Of course, one has to be a member of the family to assume such a position at his age.
Some months ago, Geraldine, Grace Vanderbilt's successor dropped in for a visit. Her old friends did not even recognize her. She hardly knew anyone on the staff. Ralph Miller moved into a hotel.
Best wishes for your health and happiness. Alice
