Yes, but they were to be frank and write what they didn't like about the story as well as what they did. The author is interested in their criticisms. They help him. So they were on their own (the papers look it), but I knew you'd like it that way. There was only one correction, on Jimmy Gentile's paper. That's so you'd know what he meant. He said the word "magnificent," but he couldn't spell it. Don't worry about everybody thinking the ending sad. The children understood why Slappy had to go away and leave Mike Flint. Thanks again for the book and the nice inscription, though what I've done to deserve it I don't know.
