pencil, top margin Rogers, John C.

July 14, 1977 Jack oboy oboy!

How do you figure the enclosed? Trying to get me to turn my back on all that I hold most worthwile [sic] in this topsy-turvey [sic] world? I note on their list of sponsors some guys that I always thought were pretty good: Loren Eiseley, Charles Addams, Eric Hofer (with reservations), Peter Hurd -- Joseph Coors I knew was no good from days as a GI in Denver insert in left margin with line pointing here: Joseph Coors still brews good beer. Richard Boone I knew nothing for or agin him until this list. Oh, well, you can't win 'em all. I thought of writing the Association and then thought I wouldn't - let them stew in their own juice, it must be nice for the FBI to feel put upon, they for so long had the field to themselves and put it ALL on US!
Hear from Dellinger (FOOLKILLER) that the wandering minstrels have returned to home port - much sadenned [sic] and disillusioned from their first Conference - they asked me to go along, but I declined gracefully I hope. They particularly objected to "the Lesbian poetry" - which Dellinger found ODD on their part. I have three photos I took as they were leaving - will send to them soon as the Photo Shop delivers to me - came out Okeh - took the photos with the same little camera I snapped you with in Chicago, and took pix in St. Lous of the Milles (?) fountain - a very good little camera considering the way I've abused it. Just thought I'd write and send you the inflammatory stuff.

Bottoms up! Jack II in left margin Sally Brown just had an operation, and is home recovering. Dee Brown liked FOOLKILLER - I sent him a copy. Their address: seven Overlook Drive LITTLE ROCK, AR, 72207
