Hope things are better by you and the Missus is on her feet again and no more pixilated mind.
Enclose a copy of letter from Dee Brown, who is one with troubles, altho I can't figure his sun-trouble from afore WWII - I was on the same river, same time he was, and I never cotched [sic] it - I guess the Potomac just picks on certain people, or somethin'.
I didn't know about old Howard Fast, thought he was a gone one I did - shows to go you WE all got our exception to the rules, or something!
Hot'ern the hinges of hell around here - I even go out in the heat, seeing as how I can take it, but I guess it will strike me down afore I know what hit me, or don't you think that will happen to an old Shike Poke like I'm? Well, we shall see, as the farmer said when he kissed the cow, or was it a mule? I disremember a lot, I do, Fact is, I'm surprised that I get so much done, I am for a fact.
Drank a fifth of 100 proof Old Grandad by myself the other eve - never fazed me - did it gradual as it were. Oh, I'm a card I am, the Doc thinks I'm his Special Project, as it were.
