Dear Sherwood– Thank you veryunderlined much for the introduction to Paul Rosenfeld. He invited me out to Westport for lunch and we had a talk about the musical piece. What a charming man he is–how utterly unaffected and "unscholastic" for a man of such erudition! I was completely taken with him–I hope I may see him again. As to the musical piece–maybe it will get done sometime–right now I am job-hunting, with damn few dollars between me and a park bench. I am glad you are painting–saw one of your things at Rosenfeld's–as I believe I wrote, your pictures often bear an astonishing affinity to some of the best things being done now in the really remarkable "Rennaissance" of painting in Germany. Will be glad to send your reproduction of some of this work if you wish. And I hope I will see you if you come East. My thanks and best wishes to you Donald Wright
