DONALD M. WRIGHT 153 EAST ERIE STREET CHICAGO page 2

In your note? I am living at the same address where Tennessee lives. I have a basement room, she lent me some furniture, and I had a desirable little place until Miss WePee? moved negroes in on the same floor. My theoretical prepossession and sympathy with the negro remains, but vanished are hopes of living with him at least on such intimate terms as the present situation encourages. I expect to move unless my neighbors do , and as the blacks are of more use to the ladies of the house than I am, I expect it will be I who will move. I am much in love with Lois Wright–we got acquainted in Berlin and Vienna. She is teaching school in Evanston! .....I hope you will let us know if you come through this place–me certainly would be glad to see you. Let me know how you are feeling. Yours Don Wright
